Kano State Ministry of Health in collaboration with MNCH2 and W4H domesticated the Task Shifting & Task Sharing Policy (TSSP). The policy seeks to address the human resource for health gaps and improve the quality of services provided by all cadres of health care workers in the State. The Kano Health Sector TSSP covers a wide range of services including family health, ante-natal care, delivery and newborn care; post-natal care; family planning and integrated management of childhood illnesses (IMCI). The TSSP was domesticated in January 2017 and formally launched by His Excellency the Governor of Kano State on the 5th of November 2017. The dissemination ceremony took place in January 2018 and had in attendance, key stakeholders in the health sector.
