The Logistics Management Coordination Unit (LMCU), under the State Ministry of Health was established and inaugurated in May 2014. MNCH2 supported the re-invigoration of the unit in 2016 by supporting quarterly meetings of the logistics technical working group (TWG) / LMCU, and inauguration and training of 27 LGA LMCU committee members in October 2017. On a quarterly basis the LMCU develops Quarterly Stock Status reports (QSSR) for the six selected commodities for six National Programs (HIV/Aids, Vaccines, Reproductive Health, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Nutrition). The report is disseminated and shared with key stakeholders for informed decision making at all levels of the Logistics Management System to ensure commodities, equipment and drugs accountability are on track.
