MNCH2 institutionalised the concept of Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) at both the LGA and State Primary Health Care Management Board. Through OCA, the State Primary Health Care Management Board (PHCMB) and LGA PHC Department, assess its capacity and thereafter develops an improvement plan to address identified gaps. This has led to the establishment of an LGA PHC advisory committee at LGA level for resource mobilisation and accountability and demand creation and oversight functions. At the State level, OCA has led to the review of the board’s vision, mission and goal statement. It has also initiated the review of the PHCMB Law which will address funding issues and streamline the roles and responsibilities of the governing board.
