The programme in collaboration with other health sector partners supported the state Ministry of Health and Human Services to develop the State Strategic Health Development Plan II (SSHDP II). MNCH2 participated in validation meetings as well as costing meetings for the plan. In November 2017, the plan was validated for implementation. The SSHDP II will provide the State with a health strategic direction for the next five years. It is a strategy that allows the Ministry to deliver outputs that will contribute to better health outcomes through effective and efficient health delivery services and resource utilisation.
