MNCH2 supported the Kaduna State Ministry of Health to inaugurate the Maternal Perinatal Death Surveillance Response (MPDSR) in line with the Nigerian government maternal death review (MDR) policy to review maternal deaths, review perinatal deaths and prompt the derivation of action plans and work towards preventing further deaths. MNCH2 hosted orientation sessions on community maternal and perinatal death surveillance and response for 85 key stakeholders. The programme is also supporting monthly mentoring of MDR committees across selected health facilities.
