In Yobe, MCNH2 supported the development of the 1st ever Minimum Service Package document for PHC in the state. One of the key components of Primary Health care Under One Roof (PHCUOR) is the development of a costed minimum service package (MSP) for PHC Centre’s that will serve as a strategic focus for investments in the health sector. These investments could be in infrastructure, equipment, furniture or human resources. The State Primary Health Care Development Agency Organisational Capacity Assessment tool revealed a gap in the availability of the MSP and MNCH2 supported the preliminary work for the development of a costed MSP for PHC in the state. These efforts were finalised in a final costing workshop in March 2017 to produce the MSP for PHC in Yobe state. Though the document is yet to be disseminated and handed over to Government, approval had already been given for the adoption of the health facility typology adopted in the document.
